About Flora’s Angel
My family member (Flora) started getting confused around 75 years old. At first it was small things like misplacing her keys, repeating stories, forgetting little details. Then it became bigger things: getting lost in the grocery store, not being able to drive, feeling unsafe doing everyday tasks.
Her daughter moved her in, and that’s when the decline became very real. I watched her daughter become a full-time caregiver overnight. The toll was heavy, from backaches from lifting and helping with mobility, to mental fatigue and emotional burnout. Her daughter searched agency after agency, trying to find experienced, professional, reliable caregivers and kept coming up short.
That’s when I knew something had to change!
In Georgia, the population of adults 65 and older is growing quickly, and most of them want exactly what my family member wanted: to stay at home/loved one’s home. I created Flora’s Angel as a private home care and wellness agency built around one core belief:
If you invest in caregivers, you protect families.
That means we focus on the people who come into your home, how they’re paid, how they’re trained, and how they’re supported, because that’s what protects your loved one’s safety, dignity, and daily routine.
Today, Flora is 91 years old. After years of trying different agencies, her daughter finally found a small, family-owned agency that introduced her to an experienced caregiver, who has become part of our family.
Flora’s Angel is my way of bringing that same feeling into other families’ homes. If your family is looking for help at home, I would be honored for Flora’s Angel to be part of your story.
